Patrick Burk has been in the damage prevention and claims management business for over 25 years. He began his career in the industry after serving in the United States Marine Corps for 10 years. Mr. Burk began with Central Locating Services as a General Manager in Clearwater, FL and then promoted to the State Operations Manager where his responsibilities also included overseeing the One Call Center developed for United Telephone (Sprint) and Lee County Electric Co-op, “First Call of Florida”, now known as “Sunshine One Call”.
In 1989 he was promoted to Vice President of Operations and relocated to the corporate offices in Syracuse, NY. At the time CLS was sold to the Asplundh Corporation, CLS was operating in 21 States and Canada with 95M in revenues and 1200+ employees. Mr. Burk remained with Asplundh as their Regional Vice President until he left the company in 1998 and began a startup company by the name of Traces, Inc. Traces performed fiber optic testing and construction along with sweep and balance work for the Broadband industry. In 2001 Mr. Burk sold his interest in Traces and began another startup company by the name of American Utility Services, Inc, once again performing locating and claims management services for major utilities and municipalities in multiple States. Mr. Burk sold American Utility Services during the first quarter of 2009 and has now joined UNIBAR DPG as their Executive Vice President.
